Online dating creates more stable relationships

Online dating creates more stable relationships

It's strange, but it turns out that online dating in the virtual world creates much more serious relationships than those in the real world. It's hard to explain - but it's a fact. Let's look for some answers to this riddle.

Girls love romantic relationships, so they often look for the words "love", "romance", "heart" in their partner's online profile. They like guys who will be frank, romantic and kind to them.

Surprisingly, it turns out that Internet users value literacy. Only 32% of them will be interested in a person who has made several spelling and punctuation errors in one paragraph or message. Approximately the same thing happens in chat correspondence between girls and boys: poorly literate people are unlikely to enjoy further communication.

Half of those using dating sites are people aged 18 to 35. This is surprising for those who think that only people over 30 are immersed in such sites. But it is natural and normal. Young people are looking for contacts and relationships, their feelings are stronger - and this is a certain guarantee of the strength of the relationship created.

By the way, dating sites should not be underestimated: worldwide, their profit is 2 billion dollars a year.

When dating on the Internet, people very often lie about such indicators as their weight, height, and even age. 81% of these sites - both paid and free, have such users. The least often people cheat about their age, because they cannot hide it. The most often people lie about their weight and height. Men sometimes add a few centimeters to their real height - and women, in turn, claim that their weight is less than real. This is understandable: many men avoid dating women who are overweight.

Women are afraid of men who look threatening, act unpleasantly, have aggressive behavior. They immediately categorize them as "maniacs" and eliminate them when choosing a partner for communication. Although very often such men with their external aggressiveness hide internal fragility and weakness. But, of course, ladies act quite wisely, preferring to be cautious!

Almost 1/3 of all acquaintances on the Internet fail. Partners never meet. They break off communication simply because they don't like each other for one reason or another. The curious thing is that many continue virtual communication, but give up real meetings, explaining that it is easier for them to communicate in the virtual world. Studies have found how men scroll through profiles on dating sites: they read the text about the user very quickly and superficially - and look at the photos 65% longer than women.

After all this, we can more easily answer why relationships created through online dating turn out to be more stable and long-lasting. It's just that the partners have overcome more and more unusual obstacles on the way to their acquaintance, they have had time to get to know each other before their first real meeting. That's why there are fewer disappointments afterwards, and their relationship is more resistant to trials in the real world - after having overcome obstacles in the virtual one.
